A Food Carnival, under the auspices of the School of Nutrition and Dietetics was organized at the Saleem Campus on 20thApril, 2015. The objective of holding the carnival was to provide the students of Doctor of Nutrition & Dietetics (DND) an opportunity to practice the knowledge of Nutrition in preparing homemade eatables. The major credit of this activity goes to the DND students of all semesters. Whereas, Prof Dr Syed Jawwad Hussain, Head of School, Ms Faiqa Javed and Ms Rabiah Sherwani, Lecturers supervised the activity.

The students set up many stalls of various homemade foods, prepared by themselves to put on sale. The festival also included a counter of the Nutritionist from Mujahid Hospital who performed tests to estimate body fat and weight status in many visitor students. A stall had been allocated to the M/S Sehar Cooking Oil. Various amusement games and singing competition were also important features of the festival.

The festival was formerly inaugurated by Ms Zahida Maqbool, Additional Registrar; whereas Prof Dr Muhammad Saeed, Dean Faculty of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences and Prof Dr Syed Jawwad Hussain also accompanied. They walked round all the stalls and took keen interest in them while appreciating the efforts made by the students.
