Eligibility:       FSC (Pre-Engineering) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent of DAE in relevant field with first division. Candidate has to go through university entrance examination also.

A Chemical Engineer is involved in design, development construction and operation of industrial processes for the production of diverse range of products. Relative industries include oil and gas, pharmaceutical, energy, fertilizer, water treatment, food and drink, plastics, normal and synthetic fibers, and Environmental Engineering.

In most of the industries the Chemical Engineers are responsible to manage the operations and processes involved during various steps. During the past 10 years the demand for Chemical Engineers has not been affected much in spite of prevailing economic recession and decline in industrial growth in the county. The demand for Engineers excels more than those having technology background.

Chemical Engineering curriculum is designed by including not only core Chemical Engineering courses but also basic sciences (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Communication Skills and Islamic & Pakistan Studies). Our graduates will not have only just professional skills but a complete knowledge and understanding of basic principles, ethical consideration and leadership qualities. The Laboratories of School of Chemical Engineering are equipped with the latest Engineering equipment in the field of (i)Particle Technology (ii) Fluid Mechanics (iii) Fuel and Combustion(iv)Thermodynamics(v)Instrumentation and Process Control (vi) Reaction Engineering (vii) Heat & Mass Transfer (viii) Simultaneous Heat and Mass Transfer. The beauty of these labs is that all the equipment even excel in performance over the imported ones. All these labs are operational and students are trained to perform experiments on these equipment with full confidence.

The program of Bachelors of Chemical Engineering at this University, like other programs, has been fully designed in accordance with the HEC recommended curriculum.Pakistan Engineering Council has granted approval to launch the program from Fall 2010. There has been a subsequent interim visit of Pakistan Engineering Council in 2013. They were quite satisfied our conducive learning environment,faculty and state of the art labs.The Chemical Engineering program has now been successfully accredited.
