Awareness Campaign on Mobile Phone Usage and Sleep Health

A team of committed and enthusiastic students successfully organized an awareness campaign at Government Boys High School, Sargodha Road, on 19 May 2026, focusing on the important topic, “Excessive Use of Mobile Phones and Lack of Sleep.” The primary aim of the campaign was to educate students about the harmful effects of prolonged screen time on physical health, mental well-being, academic performance, and sleeping patterns.

During the session, the team actively engaged students through interactive discussions, awareness materials, and educational activities. To reinforce the importance of a balanced lifestyle, a short exercise session was also arranged, encouraging students to incorporate physical activity into their daily routines as a countermeasure to sedentary screen time.

Students were sensitized to the dangers associated with prolonged mobile phone usage, including reduced concentration, disturbed sleep cycles, anxiety, and declining academic productivity. They were also provided practical guidance on adopting healthy digital habits, managing time effectively, and ensuring adequate sleep for both mental and physical development.

The awareness campaign received a highly positive response from both students and teachers, who appreciated the initiative and its emphasis on promoting health-conscious behaviors. The event underscored the importance of continuous educational efforts addressing technology-related health issues and fostering balanced lifestyles among the younger generation.

Such initiatives play a vital role in cultivating responsible, health-aware students equipped to navigate the challenges of the modern digital world.
